2 Cor 4:13 We having the same spirit of faith , according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;

The problem is that many are confessing the word of God so that it will happen. That s a wrong approach. The greek word from which “confess” is translated from is the word “homologia”. It means to say the same thing in consent with God. It means that what you are saying is as a result of what He has said already. So you are not saying something to make it true. But rather, you are saying because it is already true. So don’t be afraid to speak the word for the word has the ability to make you what it talks about.
