On a previous article, my friend Osato shared some thoughts for the ladies on “what to do while you wait for him”. Well the Lord laid it on my heart to also write just a little something for the guys. So here it goes.

You know being a guy, the temptations on our part are even more because we guys, our in built setting is that we are “moved by what we see” whereas the ladies are “moved by what they hear”. So guys it’s not your fault that you tend to turn your head on the walkway whenever a young damsel is passing by, even when you are with one by your side.  Don’t worry, it’s not a curse. It’s actually a blessing .Even the bible said Adam “SAW” his wife eve. So ladies please permit us to look at you but that doesn’t mean you should put on unusually revealing clothes so as to tempt that brother. No. That’s prostitution. I’m talking about moderation in dressing that attracts a good compliment from God and man. But guys, why do you keep on jumping from one girl to another and experiencing one heartbreak to another. It’s because you don’t know what you want and what to look out for in a woman. It’s because you have not yet understood the real purpose of a woman. To you she is still the object of your sexual imagination rather than a gift from God. Hear me clearly guys, there is no such thing as trial and error dating. No for a Christian, when you find a lady, she is for keeps. I had a friend in high school who said he was gonna date about 100 girls and sleep with them, then choose the one he enjoyed best. Now back then I thought he was right, but now, we don’t even talk again. God took me outta there. So back to the point, what to do while you wait for her;

1) Seek ye first Gods kingdom; That’s the biggest key. A wife would have to be added to you rather than you going about hustling for one. There is such a thing as the love triangle. Here God is at the top, you’re at the right bottom and she is at the left bottom. So she would have to be so lost in God that you would have to go to Him diligently before you can find her. Listen. The bible said added. It didn’t say given but added. Meaning what will be given to you will come as an addition to your life and not a minus because the bible said he that finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favour from God. There are lots of ladies who are without ambition in life, then imagine that you bring this kind of girl into your home. Your home will also be without ambition.

2) Get a damn job: Listen guys, if you claim you love a lady, and you don’t have the financial ability to secure her fragility, I doubt the integrity of you words. Maybe you are unaware that there can be no romance without finance. What was Adam created from; sand.  What was eve created from; ribs. Women are fragile .Even women who are in the military are still fragile. Before God gave Adam a wife, He first of all gave him a damn job. What is wrong with you? If you are still receiving pocket money from your parents, you are still a boy, and that is what you will continue to be; a BOY friend. Listen, relationships are not for boys but for men. What you finance, you control. So as long as your parents give you money, they control you. And how can you that is being controlled, take charge in a relationship. Nah. you will fail. You’re on a long thing mehn.  So get a job first.

3) Develop yourself; Don’t just sit down there playing fifa 13 from sun up till sundown and wait for the right girl. No. Improve your mind. If your wife is more intelligent than you, you will be in trouble. I didn’t say if her grades in school are higher than yours .No. I said if her mind is more improved than yours. She might have the big brains, but you are supposed to have the bigger mind. Read books. Learn from the mistakes other couples have made. Don’t wait till you are 30 years old before you start listening to Pastor Kingsley Okonkwo. Don’t wait till it’s time for marriage before you start learning how to father a child. I have a nephew who is 17 years younger than myself and I have used him to practise a lot of things I would like to see in my own children .And I’ve learnt a lot. I don’t advice this though, but I’m just sharing what I did. Have a vision. Look out for a lady who is willing to follow in that vision. Don’t limit yourself to the outer beauty where you check out for the figure 8 lady with skin as the colour of mocha, crimson red lips, pointed chest and protruding backside.(even though this can be necessary at times).But look for the beauty of the heart for that’s where true beauty lies. And I pray that you meet the right chick who will aid you fulfil your God-given destiny In Jesus’ name.AMI AMI AMI LORUKO JESU OLUWA WA
